Per request I have added "Before" pictures of the entry and fireplace. The new front door by HMI will be installed in early August. The door is 3/4 glass and it will be black on both sides with black caning on the glass (See picture below-- obviously this door is white, ours will be black on both sides).

I like the rustic look of #4, however, I also like how option #1 defines the foyer and really makes the fireplace stand out. I think that for #1 to be successful, it would have to integrate well with the adjacent spaces. I hope to see more as your remodel progresses.

ReplyDeleteEverything else is too modern or uses materials that wouldn't look appropriate with the the rest of the place, texture wise. Stick with the natural combinations of stone, wood, brick and metal.
